    Brigid of Spring

    The Promise of Spring

In the heart of Ireland, the winter's chill seeps into the bones, reminding us of the season's grip. The land is coated in frosty silence, a stillness that blankets the earth and echoes through the hills. But amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope emerges. Brigid stirs, her flame-haired presence a beacon of light in the wintry gloom. She is the promise of spring, the symbol of new beginnings, and the harbinger of life. As the sun rises higher in the sky, her warmth spreads across the land, melting the ice and bringing forth the seeds of creation.

Embrace the wings of inspiration and the promise of new beginnings. Brigid's beauty, with her flame-red hair and gentle smile, beckons you to find the light within and embrace the changes of life. Allow her to kindle the fire in your soul and awaken the potential that lies within. For, like the coming of spring after a long winter's night, you too can embrace the changes of life and find the light that shines within you.

    Brigid of Spring

    The Creative Process

In Irish mythology, Brigid is celebrated as the light that ushers in the new season, melting away the winter chill and bringing forth new life. She is the goddess of pre-Christian Ireland, and associated with wisdom, poetry, healing, protection, smithing, and domesticated animals. Saint Brigid, who shares many of the goddess's attributes, was initially celebrated on her feast day, 1 February, a pagan festival known as Imbolc, which was associated with the lambing season and the goddess Brigid. Some argue that the saint is a Christianization of the goddess, or that the lore of the goddess was transferred to her.

For me, this painting is not just a representation of a mythological figure, but a celebration of the spirit of Ireland itself. It is a tribute to the beauty of the land, the resilience of its people, and the eternal promise of spring.

    FAQs

    What is a Giclee Print?

Giclee is a French term meaning “to spray”, referring to how an inkjet printer works and how giclee prints are usually produced. A giclee print is a high-quality, inkjet print that is made using archival inks and paper, ensuring that the print will last for many years without fading or yellowing.

    What sizes are available?

We offer a range of sizes for our prints, including A3, A2, and A1. This allows you to choose the perfect size for your space and preferences.

What Is The Difference Between Open And Limited Editions?

Limited edition prints are created in a set number, making them more exclusive and valuable to collectors. What's more, the artist take special care to manually work on each limited edition print, adding an extra layer of uniqueness that you won't find with open edition prints. Each limited edition print is also signed by the artist, making it a truly one-of-a-kind piece of art for your collection.

Open edition prints are produced in unlimited quantities and offer the same level of quality as limited edition prints, but do not feature the extra customizations that make limited editions more unique and exclusive.
