Celestial Beauty: Taygete's Journey to the Stars

As the night sky descended upon the forest, Zeus gazed upon Taygete, the most alluring of all the Nymphs. Her beauty was unmatched, and her spirit untamed, which made her all the more irresistible to the thunder god. But Taygete knew the danger of Zeus' advances and fled to the protection of her dear Artemis. In her desperation, Artemis turned her into a doe with golden antlers, and Taygete roamed the forest, free from Zeus' grasp.

After returning to her original form, Taygete was filled with gratitude towards Artemis for her protection. She plucked the golden antlers from her head and offered them to Artemis as a token of her appreciation. Taygete and her six sisters, known as the Pleiades, are forever enshrined in the celestial heavens, their beauty and grace memorialized in the form of a constellation. The Pleiades have captured the imagination of many cultures throughout the ages, their twinkling light a beacon of wonder and mystery in the night sky.

    The Creative Process

While walking around during the Halloween season, the captivating beauty of the Pleiades constellation caught my eye. Its twinkling lights whispered of ancient wisdom and lost knowledge, of civilizations that had risen and fallen like waves upon the shore. I felt drawn to capture this elusive wonder in my art, hoping to convey the mysteries and magic that the Pleiades hold.

Taygete's bravery and gratitude have been immortalized in the night sky, shining bright for all to see. The golden city in the background of the painting is a tribute to the ingenuity and creativity of ancient civilizations, and a reminder of the great potential that we all have within us. The arrowhead pointing down to earth serves as a warning of the fragility of our world and the need to protect it. This painting is a celebration of the resilience and immortality of the human spirit, and an invitation to explore the mysteries of our shared history.

    FAQs

    What is a Giclee Print?

Giclee is a French term meaning “to spray”, referring to how an inkjet printer works and how giclee prints are usually produced. A giclee print is a high-quality, inkjet print that is made using archival inks and paper, ensuring that the print will last for many years without fading or yellowing.

    What sizes are available?

We offer a range of sizes for our prints, including A3, A2, and A1. This allows you to choose the perfect size for your space and preferences.

What Is The Difference Between Open And Limited Editions?

Limited edition prints are created in a set number, making them more exclusive and valuable to collectors. What's more, the artist take special care to manually work on each limited edition print, adding an extra layer of uniqueness that you won't find with open edition prints. Each limited edition print is also signed by the artist, making it a truly one-of-a-kind piece of art for your collection.

Open edition prints are produced in unlimited quantities and offer the same level of quality as limited edition prints, but do not feature the extra customizations that make limited editions more unique and exclusive.
